How can I do a Trademark search for my journal or planner name?

It's important to make sure that the journal title you use (or any phrases within it) are not officially Trademarked by another person, company, or brand. While you can conduct a Registered Trademark search on your own, I highly suggest hiring a Trademark Attorney to do one for you so that they can search in specific classes, compare similar phrases, etc.

Hiring a Trademark Attorney to do a TM search is not expensive. I paid less than $100 to have this done.

You can begin your search by heading to the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) website and conducting a search here.

Please note that I cannot provide legal advice or guidance on this matter. I can only speak from my personal experience. Laws and regulations may be different outside of the United States.
